I couldn't ask for a better Christmas gift.

I don't suppose you could tell us more about "simulation of the city treasure?"  I assume by treasure you mean treasury, which I'm guessing means you've just reconfigured the cost for cities to level up, or is it something more ambitious than this?

Well... I think the city needs money to get a higher city level. And this money will be in the city treasury.

And people donate to that? 

I've always thought that would provide an interesting "shared" goal for players and AI dynasties.  Hopefully they'll also have incentive to contribute in case the player is dirt poor.

Ah.  That makes way more sense than the convoluted things I was imagining.  Sounds pretty cool if that's how it will work - will actually make the tax rate matter.

Great news about the new patch. One question--will offices be fully moddable so that a large number can be added like first Guild?

^^Not comparable. Europa 1400 had multiple political trees. Also adding new offices to the Guild 2 looks terrible when you click on the political tree tab...
