they are no longer pickable because i found that this helmets look strange on non-guard-characters

Is it not possible to make source code changes anymore? Or do you just not have anyone skilled enough to do so to work on it?  I've been really hoping to see more stability in multiplayer but I'm guessing it would take in depth source code edits in order to make that happen.

If it is possible to still edit the source, is it not possible to negotiate an open source license on the engine itself, not including the game resources? That way it'd be possible for people to rewrite portions of the engine to make it more stable and still allow the game to be sold without issue.
