[REL] Frost's Tunable Start Year Mod

Here is a tunable mod that will allow you to adjust the starting year for The Guild 2 Renaissance.
Follow the instructions located in the "ReadMe.txt" file to install.

Currently, I do not have any other mods in development.

Porting content from The Guild 2 Venice into The Guild 2 Renaissance is possible if you have the necessary files.

If you have not done so already, re-download the mod. I uploaded the wrong file the first time.

Hi Fr0st,

I do have the necessary files (the game). Importing info from the 'DB' folder should not be a problem. However, I wanted to import buildings (St. Marks, Doge's Palace as well as other buildings), but they do not show up in Renaissance. It could be related to the same problem with importing maps from Venice into Renaissance.

You will most likely need to transfer information from the following categories:

DB Folder Files
AnimationEffects.dbt
BuildingNPC.dbt
Buildings.dbt
BuildingTypes.dbt
BuildingUpgrades.dbt
Decorators.dbt
GameConstants.dbt
IndoorMapPositions.dbt (Might Need Something from Here)
Models.dbt
Scenes.dbt
Text.dbt


Objects Folder Files
buildings
Characters
Sub folder in "Objects\city\buildings" (Might need some building files)
Interiors
Locations
Outdoor (Might Need Something from Here)
Presets (Might Need Something from Here)


Scenes Folder Files
Sub folder in "Scenes\Locations\" (Might need some building files)


Scripts Folder Files
Sub folder in "Scripts\AI\" (Might need some building files)
Sub folder in "Scripts\Buildings\" (Might need some building files)
Sub folder in "Scripts\Library" - bld.lua (Might need scaffold offsets, etc...)


Textures Folder Files
combined (Might Need Something from Here)
metal (Might an Item Texture for an Object in a Building from Here)
Sub folder in "Scenes\Locations\" (Might need some building files)
Check the Textures Root folder for any other random Textures that might be associated with the building that you want to port in.
Note: The Root Folder - (the base folder) You should already be in the Root folder if you doubled-click on the Textures folder from the Main Game Folder)

NOTE: I am not certain on the exact modifications that need to be made for each file. If there are any sound files that you want to port over, you can take a look in the "sfx" folder.

This is fantastic,  fr0st! Now only if the 'honey-dos" would subside...I think modding is fun...just need more time to do it! I have many ideas and little time. Marriage is a time absorber.  ;)

Frost, I know maybe it's not the right thread to ask, but I got a problem with the change fame and faith mod that you created, because I can't find the mod thread so I think I'll just bump it here...

The only problem I was able to identify is in the Measures.dbt. on the line :

You need to make the changes in measurestoobjects.dbt file as well.
Near the bottom second column.

If you can't figure it out there are tutorials on this site and theguild2 site that explain it better
